They're back, the band with the classical chic and Wurlitzer space–ship glitz who for a while practically owned the 1970s.

Who could forget, who was listening to radio at the time, the chart topping hit that started with the sombre first movement theme from Beethoven's 5th Symphony on strings before being pierced suddenly and ecstatically by the classic electric guitar riff from Chuck Berry's Roll Over Beethoven?

That was the Electric Light Orchestra making an entrance, and since then it's become nearly impossible to think of those hot, idyllic summers of the 1970s without thinking of the song Mr Blue Sky.

Following a Children in Need special with Jeff Lynne in 2013, Chris Evans asked his Radio 2 listeners out of curiosity if they'd be interested in seeing the Electric Light Orchestra live.

The phones nearly melted.

And when the BBC put the resulting 50,000 tickets on sale for Hyde Park 2014, they sold out in 15 minutes.

Jeff Lynne's ELO produced a new album, Alone In The Universe, which was released in November 2015, with a tour then following this in April 2016. The band have announced that they will play Wembley Stadium as a one–night–only concert on 24 June 2017. This Omega weekend includes a Saturday evening ticket to see Jeff Lynne's ELO plus rail travel and choice of 4 star central London hotels with English breakfast.

But we recommend you book fast – because look what happened last time...
